Morgan was featured in an informative clip Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS education and prevention. Morgan contributed a part of her income towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She serves as a member on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fundraisers for the disease and she also testified before a special Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is on the board of Governors of APLA. She was asked to replace former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at the AIDS-related gatherings. Steve Bell, a news anchor, has also been host of an AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan was awarded the Emmy nomination for her special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. The spring, she starred as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began by presenting Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. The next part of her film took her to Luxembourg, where she starred as Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan has also been the only actress to appear in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller, which garnered some of most impressive ratings this network's had.
